New Hampshire’s Oldest Drive-In Theater Is Up for Sale
You could own a piece of Granite State history in the heart of the Lakes Region.
I don’t care how great technology becomes. Home theaters, IMAX, and A-list actors direct to streaming movies are all wonderful. However, nothing can replace a good old fashion drive-in movie night.
Give me a double feature special any summer evening.
Since 1942, a drive-in located in the heart of Weirs Beach has entertained families, and now you can keep the story going.
According to Realtor.com, the property for Weirs beach Drive-In sits on 12.62 acres in the T.I.F. district, and is “extremely high visibility.”
They also note C-R zoning allows a variety of commercial and residential uses, “including resort hotel or condo site”
NOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Hopefully, buyers hold onto tradition, and keep the drive-in tradition alive. The property’s asking price in $2.8 million dollars, and is located on 76 Endicott Street in Laconia.
A few years ago, the place was supposed to close, but opened again in 2018.
