Boston, MA and Parts of NH Getting Another Major Storm on Monday

Are you kidding around here, Mother Nature?

In NH, we woke up to another few inches of snow.  In the town that I live in, we got 6" or so of the white stuff.  That ain't nothin' compared to what we might get on Monday.

Boston Could Get Another 2 Feet of Snow on Monday

When I look at the Weather app on my phone, it says that Portsmouth will get 9-11" on Monday.  More accumulation is expected for Boston, with a prediction of 13-16" right now.  WBZ says Boston may see 16-24".  I'll do the math for you, that's another 2 feet.

Could things change?  You know and I know that's a resounding YES, but from what we've been told already about this Winter, it will probably happen.

If you recall, the Farmers Almanac called for a "cold, snow-filled" winter.  They got that one right on the money.

NH Skiers Happy About the Winter of 2025 / 2026

Skiers haven't been this happy about a New England winter since maybe 2015.  Remember that?  We had storms every week.  I remember it well.  We had moved to Cape Elizabeth, Maine for a few years and I thought we had moved to Alaska. I was traveling from Maine to NH to see my Mother about 3-4 times per week and it was really messy.

Regardless of the work that needs to be done with snow removal, cancellations, schedule changes, etc., the snow is breathtakingly beautiful.  I'll take winters like this over the ones with no snow any day.

Remember when you go outside today to bring your snow blocker to make igloos.  Those K-Tel creations were a huge part of my childhood.  It's where I spent hours educating myself on how the snow can either freeze your thighs or keep you warm under a roof of white using just your body heat.
