I was excited to see North Woods Law back last month for it's new season.

If you haven't seen it yet, it's really good.  The show is on Animal Planet and it follows the adventures of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Law Enforcement Officers.

There are always some great twists and turns, although this particular twist might not be what they wanted.

The show is being sued by a New Durham couple who say they were shown in a bad light on a 2018 episode.

According to WGME, the couple allege that they were shown in a false light that connected them to a pot growing organization.

The case went to the New Hampshire Supreme Court this week with arguments from both sides, according to NHPR.

The couple, Dale and Anne Mansfield, says that even though their faces were pixelated, neighbors still recognized them. They also say that they never gave consent to appear on the show.

The lawyer for North Woods Law says the episode clearly shows that the Mansfield's were innocent.  Attorney Michael Lewis told the four justices that ruling against his clients would have "chilling effect" on a free press.

NHPR reports that most of the claims were dismissed by the court, but they were allowed to move forward on their "false light" argument.

Hopefully everything gets worked out for all parties involved.

In the meantime, you can catch North Woods Law on Animal Planet Sunday night's at 9pm!
