New England Has the Worst State in the Country for Porch Pirates
Unfortunately, it's something we've all probably been a victim of, and apologies in advance of reading this triggers you of the time (or times) it happened to you.

The fact is, unfortunately, you just can't really trust any neighborhood you live in, now. Not that your neighbors are horrible people -- they truly could be some of the best people you know and will ever meet.
But if you live in a neighborhood that's off a main road -- as quiet as that neighborhood could be, you can't really control the outsiders that wander through it and will swipe a freshly delivered package off a waiting owner's doorstep.
Worst State for Package Theft
Unfortunately, package theft happens so often all across the country that there's enough data to actually put studies together on where it happens the most.
And as much as we love to brag with New England makes national news or tops lists -- this isn't a time we want to brag. Because according to Forbes, New Hampshire has the most scumbag porch pirates swiping packages off doorsteps in the entire country.
What is a porch pirate?
If, for whatever reason, you have no idea what the term "porch pirate" means, then you're lucky. Because you haven't been hit by one. Either that or you're just too naive to understand the term for the sucknuggets who steal packages off people's doorsteps. But that's exactly what a porch pirate is.
It's been happening so long that there are people that actually setting up porch pirate booby traps, but still, that doesn't guarantee that your future packages won't get swiped.
Based on the research done by Forbes, which centered around FBI and Google Trends data, the next suckiest New England state for porch pirates/package theft is Massachusetts (ranked #13 in the country), followed by Rhode Island (ranked #15), Maine (ranked #31), and Vermont (ranked #37).
