Aren't water parks just the best? I remember back when my parents asked me what I wanted to do for my Sweet Sixteen, I opted for a day at Water Country with my girlfriends. Best. Decision. Ever. The wave pool, the water slides, taking breaks to mow down on some fried dough and Dippin' Dots, there's nothing better!

I never really got down with the indoor water parks as a kid but I feel like there weren't many options where I grew up in Central Massachusetts. Great Wolf Lodge opened in Fitchburg, MA, in 2012 and I was already a boring grown up by then. (okay, not a grown up but above water park going age)

USA Today comes out with their 10 Best Readers' Choice travel awards every year. A magical place call Kahuna Laguna came in at number 7 for the best indoor waterpark in 2019. We all know that 2020 was a wash and 2021, there is no indoor waterpark category.....so in our books that makes them a reigning champion!

According to Kahuna Laguna's website, they are Northern New England's first indoor water park. The waterpark is located at the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort in North Conway, New Hampshire. A fan favorite attraction is their three-story slide tower that shoots visitors down into a large pool. That sounds terrifying but invigorating! They also have a massive wave pool with waves up 3 feet high, a pool basketball court, and a hot tub big enough for 25 people!

It's a blast and they are taking reservations now. Check out their website to learn more.
