8 Famous People Buried in New Hampshire You Won’t Believe
A journalist friend of mine said once that everything comes back to New Hampshire.
I did not know and maybe you didn't either that there are many famous people who are buried here. Some you may know and others, you may learn about. If you are looking for a bit of Halloween fun or a bit of history, maybe you can tour all these cemeteries.
By a quick Google search, here are 8 that I found:
Christa McAuliffe - 1948 - 1986
Who can forget the day that Christa perished in the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster. She was a well loved teacher from Concord and is buried at the Calvary Cemetery in Concord.

Alan Bartlett Shepard, Jr. - 1923-1998
The very first American in space lived here in New Hampshire. Alan Shepard is buried at the Forest Hill Cemetery in East Derry, New Hampshire.

Ralph Baer - 1922 - 2014
At first, I wasn't going to include him in this list because I said, "Ralph who?" but then I discovered that he is known as the "Father of Video Games." Worthy of a mention here. Ralph is buried at the Manchester Hebrew Cemetery in Manchester, NH.
Rod Price - 1947- 2005
Rod was an incredible slide guitarist and founding member of the Rock band, Foghat. Maybe you can take a "Slow Ride" to visit his grave at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Wilton, NH.
Franklin Pierce 1804-1869
The only U.S. President from NH, Franklin Pierce was the 14th and is buried at Minot-Pratt / Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord, NH

Dr. C. Everett Koop 1916 - 2013
A former U. S. Surgeon General is buried in Hanover, NH at Pine Knoll Cemetery

Betty Hill 1919-2004 and Barney Hill 1922 - 1969
If you're from NH, you know the story of Betty and Barney Hill who swore they were abducted by aliens in 1961. They are buried in Kingston, NH at the Greenwood Cemetery. Their story is really interesting. If you have time, here's part of their story that took place in Kingston, NH.
