This summer may not be a total loss, after all. Palace Playland Amusement Park in Old Orchard Beach, Maine just announced on its Facebook page that it will partially open on Wednesday, July 1st, 2020. The arcade will be the first part of the amusement park to be available to the public, as Palace Playland ramps up its operations to open other things such as its popular rides. What date that will be has not been decided on as per Playland officials. As expected, there will be safety measures in place, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Exactly what those precautions entail remains to be seen, so there is no word on whether or not masks will be required. Most likely, they will be because of Governor Mill's executive order.

Palace Playland's Facebook post stated that more information and details would be available in the coming days. We will keep you posted when we hear something.
