Phone Scam Warning: Soliciting Funds To Help Displaced People In Lawrence, MA

It seems like every time a tragedy strikes some scam artist decides to take advantage of the situation.

Channel 7 News in Boston says city officials in Lawrence are warning residents of "a scam targeting people who are looking to help those displaced by the gas emergency."
