Winnacunnet High School has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons lately.

In the past few days, a Winnacunnet teacher has been accused of an inappropriate relationship with a student, and now police are involved in another incident.

According to Seacoast Online, police were called to the school on Tuesday for a report of a disorderly student. The school resource officer made the call, the news article stated, and when police attempted to arrest the juvenile, he allegedly resisted and ran from the scene.

According to Hampton Police Lieutenant Alex Reno, per Seacoast Online, police found the student on Landing Road and they were forced to use their Taser. The student was arrested with no injuries and the case will now be handled by the juvenile justice system.

Winnacunnet High School is already infamous because this is where the whole Pamela Smart case started. Smart was employed there as a media instructor back in 1990. She was found guilty of recruiting four students to kill her husband and is serving a life sentence.

According to the Concord Monitor, her mom Linda Wojas is fighting to secure her daughter’s release.

Here’s hoping the next time we hear of Winnacunnet High School it will be positive!
