Popular Kelly’s Roast Beef Just Launched Its First-Ever Shop in New Hampshire
Many people in Salem, New Hampshire, and the surrounding areas are doing their happy dance right now.
That's because Kelly's Roast Beef is finally open in Salem, New Hampshire. The franchise is at 181 South Broadway, which was formerly Burger King.
There are so many people excited about this Boston-based legendary roast beef spot that it's tough to keep up with the reaction on Facebook.
Went this past Saturday. Well worth the 6-hour roundtrip.
Miss that roast beef and awesome seafood. Ship me some PLEASE!
Kelly's Roast Beef is home of the three-way roast beef sandwich. What does that mean? According to the Kelly's Roast Beef press release, "Each Kelly's location thinly slices 25-day aged, medium-rare roasted sirloin-tip meat. The sirloin is then placed on a buttered, griddled hamburger roll."
Here's why it's "three-way". They add to the tender sliced beef on a bun, mayonnaise, white American cheese, and James River BBQ sauce. Here's a tip: order the sauce on the side so you can add however much you'd like.
Many say the famous James River BBQ Sauce is the best part. The sauce is made by Smithfield, known for its hams. You can buy it on Amazon.com, at Walmart, or other places. Better yet, you can make your own.
Here's more exciting news: Kelly's hopes to open 12 more restaurants in New Hampshire in the next six years. Sandwiches at every location are carved as ordered, so the beef never sits too long.
Oh, and the seafood is well-known, too. Kelly's lobster rolls are mouthwatering, as is the clam chowder.
Kelly's was founded in 1951 on Revere Beach, Massachusetts, and began franchising in 2020. Kelly's Roast Beef is synonymous with Boston, and referenced in Hollywood too, like in 30 Rock and Good Will Hunting (with our New England boys, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon).
Now, Kelly's will be a legend in New Hampshire too, so chalk up the new market of Salem, New Hampshire, as a win for all of us.
