This Newburyport Retail Store is Opening Up a Second Location in Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Remember when Native Sun was on 2 Bow Street in Portsmouth? Before that, I want to say it was a glass gallery, right? Anyway, now the new tenants will be the second location for Leavitt & Co. who has a shop already on 11 Pleasant Street in Newburyport.
Over the weekend, my husband had a gig at Loretta's in Newburyport. Most of the time, I don't go to work with him, but this time, I thought I could walk around and check out the stores because there are so many great ones in a small area.
Leavitt & Co. is Opening Up a 2nd Location in Portsmouth, NH
As I have done in the past, I wandered in to Leavitt & Co. There was a sign on the door that said they have exciting news about a 2nd location on 2 Bow Street in Portsmouth, NH.
I went inside and immediately picked up a sweater that I ended up buying. As I was pretending to think about buying it, (it was already sold....) I asked the woman behind the counter about the new location which will be right across the street from the Portsmouth Gaslight Company, (where Taylor Swift once played on the deck... for real) and it will be three floors!
The main floor will be jewelry and accessories, the lower level will be home decor and the top floor is going to be women's apparel.
The Pricing at Leavitt & Co. in Newburyport is Reasonable
Remember the sweater that I picked up when I first walked in? It was soft, soft, soft. I took a deep breath and looked at the price tag. $89. Under $100 for a lovely sweater in downtown Newburyport. That is amazing.

No offense to any other shop, but there are places in Newburyport and Portsmouth that I rarely go into because I know that generally, they are really pricey. Not so with Leavitt & Co. Almost all of their inventory is under $100. As a matter of fact, they currently have a rack with sweaters for $25 just to move them out.
Leavitt & Co's new location in Portsmouth is hoping to open in April, 2026.
