Second Annual PorchFest in Portsmouth, NH Happening in September

Back for a second year, Portsmouth, New Hampshire, is offering free music all around the city during its PorchFest event coming up in September.

Picture this: you are walking the streets of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on a beautiful September Saturday. You walk by one residence and hear music...there is a live band jamming on their porch with a small crowd of 10-20 people listening.

You leave...walk a few blocks...and again, a live band jamming out in their front yard. THIS IS PORCHFEST. A day of free, live music all around downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

According to a Portsmouth Chamber article, PorchFest will have downtown Portsmouth rocking from 11 am to 5 pm on September 20, 2025.

“PorchFest is a community initiative that strives to span generations and create spaces for people to gather, delight in music, and grow a deeper sense of knowing one another,” according to Madeleine Nossiff, a member of the PorchFest committee.

“In a time of great divide, PorchFest aims to be one of many ways to unite people from different backgrounds through the power of music, collaboration and supporting the arts and culture of our town.”

After a successful inaugural year, 2025 PorchFest is doubling in size. This year, there will be over 30 venues throughout Portsmouth, NH. Each location hosting music is set to host TWO acts, not one.

This event is rain or shine, so plan your rain jackets and umbrellas just in case - because the rain will not stop the 2025 PorchFest in Portsmouth, NH this September.
