There certainly won’t be any questions about Tulsi Gabbard’s fitness for duty when it comes to the upcoming presidential election.

NBC News has video of the Democratic hopeful surfing in a winter wetsuit on Hampton Beach off the coast of New Hampshire this weekend. These waters are a bit colder than what she is used to.

Tulsi Gabbard grew up in Hawaii and surfed nearly every day.

Someone in the crowd shouted, “History is being made!” according to NBC News, and I bet it is. This has to be the first presidential candidate to surf in New Hampshire.

She knows how to get attention and stand out in a crowd because I highly doubt we will see any other presidential hopefully attempt surfing in the Atlantic in January of the coast of the Granite State.

Tulsi Gabbard is quoted as saying to a CBS reporter, “There is absolutely no better way to start the day and to start the year. Highly recommend it. If we could go surfing every day and bring everybody out, that’d be awesome.”

I personally didn't go surfing but I was out in nature on new year's day. I went hiking on Bradbury Mountain in Pownal, Maine.

I imagine if she were to become president, the secret service men would all have to learn to surf and I can’t imagine how hard it would be to protect a surfing president.

We can recall that George Bush loved to cycle with his secret service, Barak Obama loved to play basketball with his agents and Donald Trump plays golf, but surfing?

2020 is shaping up to be an interesting year.

What surprised me the most was how many other surfers there were at Hampton this time of year. Maybe I need to learn how to surf! The two best places to be on the beach or in the woods/mountains.
