RECALL: Mold Found in Gogo Squeeze Applesauce Fruit Pouches

The company is considering clear pouches after mold was found in its applesauce product.

GoGo squeeZ is pulling one of its products from shelves for a good reason: there was mold in the pouches.

A recent production of their applesauce contains some pouches with mold in a small number of pouches. According to GoGo squeez, an independent lab tested the mold, and an expert microbiologist determined that it poses no known health risk.

The company said it has identified the problem and caught affected pouches before leaving production. The pouches that did get put on shelves are being recalled, and no other GoGo squeeZ products have been affected.

The voluntary recall includes products with a “Best Before Date” between 6/30/16 and 7/26/16 produced in the U.S.
