Roadways Expected to be Busiest in Years, Thanks to Low Gas Prices!
Ah, the double edged sword of low gas prices. Sure, it may be good for your wallet, but it may not be good for your stress level as close to 47 million of us will hit the road to visit grandma this Thanksgiving.
Triple A of Northern New England is estimating 46.9 million commuters will clog the roadways, railways and air space this holiday week.
One of the reasons for the high number of us traveling is the low number on the gas pump. Since gas prices are lower than this time last year, many of us consider it a holiday bonus to fill the tank and hit the road.
As far as us hearty New Englanders are concerned, more than 87% will travel by automobile.
Be safe and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
