New Country 97-5 WOKQ has teamed up with American Senior Magazine to salute the seniors in New Hampshire. Each week, we’ll highlight a senior who plays a part of making New Hampshire such a great place to live. The featured senior will receive a $50 gift card to use at an area mall, a one year subscription to American Senior magazine, and they'll be invited to a luncheon here at Townsquare Media, honoring all of the seniors we’re saluting.

This week we feature Linda Thompson.

Here's what her friend Morgan says...

Anyone who knows Linda knows her for her kind heart. Linda is the sweetest, loving, most humble person there ever was.

I met Linda and her husband, Rocky, a little over four years ago while I was working at the Conway Dunkin' Donuts. Rocky and Linda would come in nearly everyday (and they still do) to not only enjoy a cup of coffee and iced tea, but to get to know the employees of Dunks. I bet if you go to the Conway Dunkin' Donuts there wouldn't be one employee who doesn't know who Rocky and Linda are.

When I first met Linda, she gave me a great big hug, told me I had beautiful hair, and we just clicked instantly. Ever since then, even though I don't work at Dunkin' anymore, I see them all the time. We'll meet up and talk about anything and everything. Linda is a very important figure in my life. I recently lost my grandmother, so having Linda in my life helps fill the huge hole in my heart.

Her kindness spreads through her smile and sweet words. She can make anyone feel special and loved with only a few simple words. She has made such an impact in not only my life, but many others as well. She would never think she deserves to be recognized here, but I know she does.

Linda hasn't had the easiest life, but you would never know that just by seeing her. She's overcome SO much in her life and it's made her the caring, funny, loving individual she is today. Linda would do anything to make someone smile and would give the shirt off her back to anyone that needs it. There aren't enough kind words in this world to describe her. I truly believe that she deserves the world and if I can't give her that, the least I could do is show others how wonderful she is.
