Ditch your Day Job and Go for your Dream Job

There seems to be a theme after this pandemic with people ditching their day jobs and heading off to do their dream jobs.  That’s just what Chris Guerrette did when he came back after serving as an intelligence officer in the Air Force in Afghanistan.

Military slang for candy is “lickies and chewys,” according to businessnhmagazine.com.

While serving overseas, he dreamed of coming home and opening a candy store and that’s just what he did.

Success for Lickee’s and Chewy’s Candies & Creamery in Dover

If you have never been to Lickee’s and Chewy’s over in Dover you are missing out on not just a candy store, but an experience complete with drawbridge.  It’s like Medieval Times exploding with candy!

Chris Guerrette and his wife purchased the old Candy Bar & Creamery in Dover over four years ago and their success, even during the pandemic, has been fantastic.

In 2017, Chris and his wife purchased a larger store to keep up with their demand.

Who are Lickee and Chewy?

Sir Lickee is a knight and Chewy is a dragon.  They are the official mascots of the store.

They come from the lad of “Caramelot,” as reported by businessnhmagazine.com.

If you want candy or a shake this is the place to go in Dover. I have personally had their shakes and they are THE BEST.

Chris Guerrette tells businessnhmaginze.com that “My intent is to be the Ben and Jerry’s for the Seacoast region.”

I think he will make that dream happen with a store filled with candy and ice cream and even some fancy high-end desserts like macarons, chocolate truffle cake, and dipped cookies.
