Secret Phrase That Could Get You a Free Hotel Room Upgrade in Boston and Beyond

It's one of the worst-kept secrets in the travel industry: getting upgrades and freebies at hotels and resorts around the country, and even the world.  Sometimes it's just a matter of asking when you check in, sometimes the website of the resort or hotel you're staying at may have some fun info on it, and sometimes it's random articles like this, where we share secret words or phrases.

Are you ready?  It only takes two words to get something for free on vacation in Boston and beyond, and right now I learned that Kimpton Hotels are offering complimentary breakfast, food, or beverage credit at the bar or restaurant, a bottle of wine, “raid the mini bar” credit, room upgrades, free parking, and more.  A friend forwarded the article to me from Money Slick Deals because she knows I love Kimpton, so I just HAD to share this because I think they're incredible.

Like many hotel chains, this isn't uncommon, and sometimes you'll receive that upgrade automatically when you check in, but not always. So, it doesn't hurt to be in the know, especially when it's happening with a hotel brand as unique and cool as Kimpton.  I've stayed at many Kimptons because they're dog-friendly and literally treat your pup like a family member, with all the amenities and then some. It's one of my favorites!
