Ski enthusiasts were throwing powder for one final weekend. Yes, in June.

Let's review. Memorial Day weekend already happened, and it was a fun way to usher in the unofficial start of SUMMER. The Mount Washington Auto Road is open, and people were still...skiing?  Just to clarify, we're talking snow skiing, not water skiing. The answer is yes.

According to Boston.com, Killington Resort stayed opener longer than it had in over 15 years. The Vermont mountain officially closed for snow skiing last weekend, but they went out with a huge party. According to WCVB ABC 5, T-shirts went to the first 500 guests on Saturday. They also planned to have live music, free Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream for about 500 people starting at 3:00 p.m.

Lift tickets were only $30. Not a steep price to pay for the gram-worthy status of skiing in June.

Killington General Manager Mike Solimano told Boston.com that when the lifts stop running, the resort will have offered 211 days of skiing and riding this season.
