Small Earthquake Rattles Parts of New Hampshire this Morning
Early this morning, shortly after 5am, many people felt the earth move. The USGS (United States Geological Survey) confirmed a 2.4-magnitude earthquake shook the Concord. Officials say the quake was centered in Contoocook.
People in Penacook, Henniker, Boscawen, Webster, Dunbarton and Concord reported shaking and hearing a loud noise. The official time of the earthquake was 5:07am.
According to the Associated Press, there were no immediate reports of damage or injury. Small earthquakes are not uncommon in New England. They are felt at least a few times every year.
