Somersworth, New Hampshire, Diner Has an Important Mission and Life-Changing Biscuits and Gravy

Okay, so do you remember Teatotaller in Somersworth, New Hampshire?

They served up good vibes in the form of boba tea and drag shows, and was referred to by many as a queer oasis. Well, they still have their location in Concord, New Hampshire, but the Somersworth location closed a while back.

Emmet and the Teatotaller crew shared on their socials that they would be going through a metamorphosis (their words, not mine!). Teatotaller as we knew it would be transforming into something near and dear to their hearts, which is a recovery-friendly restaurant.

This restaurant would focus on DE-stigmatization. It would employ people who are currently in recovery or those who have been previously incarcerated. Their mission is to help these individuals develop marketable job skills, all while serving fresh, delicious breakfast foods in an all-inclusive atmosphere. Behold: Fold'd, a crepe and omelet-focused modern diner on a mission. It will be a full-service breakfast and lunch spot.

Fast forward to now, Fold'd Community Diner, is running and THRIVING. 

Every plate goes back to communities across New Hampshire. According to Rachelle Briana (Executive Chef at Fold'd Community Diner), there are only a handful of non-profit restaurants in the country, and Fold'd is proud to be one of them.

She also claims to make a mean plate of fresh sausage gravy and biscuits that people continue to come back for every single week. Say less, queen! I would LIVE on sausage gravy and biscuits if I could.
