No matter where I am in the world, I’m always excited to try a new café. One of my favorite things about café-hopping is the atmosphere. Some spots are quiet and quaint, while others buzz with foot traffic and grab-and-go orders.

At the recommendation of Sarah Sullivan (a true New Hampshire native), I recently checked out Stella’s Cafe in Dover.

It was my first visit, and I couldn’t wait to see what they had to offer, from the food to the lattes.

Tucked away in a condo development, Stella’s has a bright, clean, and modern feel. The menu offers everything from quick grab-and-go bites to hearty sandwiches, and the staff immediately makes you feel welcome with their friendly, attentive service. I went with their avocado toast special, served on multigrain bread and topped with hard-boiled egg, feta, pickled onions, and a chipotle aioli. The fresh ingredients really stand out in every bite.

Of course, I couldn’t leave without trying a latte, specifically, their tiramisu latte from the specials menu. For me, a great flavored latte still lets the coffee shine through, and Stella’s absolutely delivered.

And if that’s not enough to tempt you, they also offer a wide selection of pastries and house-made quiche, baked fresh daily. It’s definitely a spot I’d recommend adding to your list.

It’s not just the food that stands out, it’s the genuine warmth and welcoming spirit of the staff as well.

So, where should I head for my next café adventure?
