A Stratham man has been indicted on 33 Class A felony counts of theft by misapplication of property.

Said Yahyapour, 63, is accused of obtaining money from various financial institutions upon agreement, or subject to a known legal obligation to make specified payments to Portfolio Holding, Inc. He recklessly failed to make the payments, according to a press release from the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office.

Yahyapour was indicted by a grand jury at Strafford County Superior in Dover and is scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 14.

If convicted, Yahyapour could face up to 15 years in prison and a $4,000 fine on each charge.
