Suspicious Men Tried To Lure A Young Child To Their Car In Amesbury

This is the kind of story that sends shivers down my spine. If you're a parent it probably does the same to you.

Police in Amesbury, Massachusetts say two men tried to lure a young child into their car. According to News 7 in Boston, the incident happened on Clinton Street in Amesbury.

Police told News 7 the two men were driving a green Jeep Cherokee, and approached the child at the end of his driveway around 3pm on Monday afternoon. Neighbors say it isn't the first time it's happened in the neighborhood.

The news report says another neighbor claims a man approached another child a few days earlier in a similar incident before someone chased him off. Meanwhile police say at this point the two incidents don't appear to be related.

As a parent to another parent...if you're reading this...please be vigilant. Teach your kids to be mindful of their surroundings. And as silly as it sounds...don't talk to strangers.
