Teen Who Started at Kittery Restaurant When it Opened Was Just Promoted to Kitchen Manager
You know the old saying "hard work pays off"?
"yes, Kira! That is one of the most generic sayings in the history of sayings!"
Okay, wow! You don't have to get all snappy about it. The point is, I love seeing real life examples of hard work paying off for good people! It's motivating and inspiring and hits me square in the feels.
Pepperrell Cove took to their Facebook page to share an amazing story about a teen named Ben Joslin. Ben was their very first employee when they opened the restaurant four years ago. Ben did everything that was asked of him and emulated a "can do" attitude. He helped with demolition, painting, and even agreed to get dressed up for a photo shoot for The View before they opened. Ben is now in college and he has worked his way up to becoming the manger of their kitchen staff at Frisbee's Wharf!
How amazing is that?! Pepperrell Cove was loyal to taking Kittery teens under their wing and it absolutely paid off. ESPECIALLY in this time of extreme labor shortage. Ben said:
"I love the Pepperrell Cove team, the fast-pace and the opportunity to grow professionally. And I especially appreciate Eides and Henry teaching me what it means to have high standards in a kitchen."
PS: If you haven't been to Pepperrell Cove put it on your Summer bucket list. It's a scenic spot with excellent food, the stuffed haddock rocked my world!
