Yesterday, I went to Garrison Hill Park in Dover, NH for the very first time. I was told by several people to go during the summer, but for whatever reason I never made it. So I figured better late than never...and finally made a visit. And while it was overcast and cloudy...man what a view!

Be warned. If you want to see views like this then you're going to have to climb a six story tower. While not ideal for those of us afraid of heights...it's worth the climb. And rest easy...the tower is a solid structure.

According to Wikipedia, the current tower was built in 1993, and is the third tower to exist on the hill. And the park is on the National Register of Historical Places.

If you'd rather just have a picnic, or maybe go sledding this winter...the park provides a great spot for both.
