From Clothes to Tarot Cards: The Groovy Witch Opens in New Dover, NH, Location

Ever heard of a place where you can shop for cute clothes and have a tarot card reading all in one visit? Maybe such a business already exists in New England's Halloween central, aka Salem, Massachusetts, but did you know that there's one right in Dover, New Hampshire?

The Groovy Witch was founded in 2009 as an online clothing boutique by founder Jaime Szopa, who wound up opened her business as a brick-and-mortar establishment in 2021, according to their website. Both she and manager Margaret LaFlamme are also certified Reiki Practitioners. For those of you who don't know, Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing that helps reduce stress in favor of relaxation, according to The International Center for Reiki Training.

And just look at how adorable these dresses and outfits are. This writer would wear some of these in a heartbeat.

Also on the Groovy Witch team is Allison Mulligan, who conducts tarot card readings. The website says that Allison comes with years of impressive education and studying under her belt, and was even part of an "informal study in paranormal psychology with renowned investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren". Those who've heard of this couple understand just how cool that is.

As for her tarot readings, Allison explains on the website her belief that “the Tarot guides us deeply inward via the archetypes of the collective unconscious, inviting us to discover our divine purpose in a highly sensitive, artistic way that traditional methods can’t do. My readings aren’t about predicting something predestined but rather birthing new realities.”

Starting today, May 27, 2022, The Groovy Witch can be found at their new location at 332 Central Ave in Dover, just a five-minute walk away from where they had previously set up shop.
