The Telephone Flea Market Is Coming to an End
All good things must some day come to an end, and on March 24, a show finale will bring the curtain down on The Telephone Flea Market airing on WOKQ/WPKQ.
As we know, the digital world has changed how people go to market to sell their “stuff.”
The last edition of the Telephone Flea Market will be in it's regular 7 a.m. to noon slot, Sunday, March 24, 2019, after more than 40 years and more than 2,000 editions of the broadcast.
Don Spencer will sunset the show and will remain part of our team. Don has hosted the program since 2008.
The program is a throwback to 97.5 FM's earliest history playing country music as WDNH-FM in 1973 and remained (with some absences thru years) with the switch to the WOKQ callsign in 1977, adding sister station WPKQ in the late 1990s.
Share your memories of this unique "old school" radio program here, and thanks for listening as always to WOKQ and The Peak!
