Man Accused of Stealing Over $30,000 in Perfume from NH Macy’s
If you’re looking for a bottle of perfume for your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day, you may be out of luck if her brand is Coco Chanel.
A Nashua man was arrested for allegedly stealing over $30,000 worth from the Macy’s in Nashua.
According to WMUR, Jamel Flemming was arrested in NYC and extradited back to New Hampshire.
Assistant County Attorney Brett Harpster tells WMUR that Fleming stole about 150 bottles from a stockroom at the Macy’s at Pheasant Lane Mall. Police were notified and spotted three men on a surveillance video making their way out of the store with the perfume bottles.
Macy’s organized retail crime manager recognized Flemming, according to WMUR. He had been investigated for similar incidents over the past six and a half years.
WMUR reports that Flemming’s record is extensive, going back more than 30 years throughout New York and New Jersey. Flemming also has outstanding warrants in both Massachusetts and Maryland.
According to WBZ4, Flemming faces a charge of felony theft and could spend up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
