HOLY REAL ESTATE, BATMAN! Talk about a return on your investment. (or something like that) I have heard about people physically taking their homes and moving them to different locations. However, this story takes that concept to another level.

Picture this: it's the 1930's and a home from Exeter, NH, is for sale in an auction. It was built in 1787, so $25 at that time seems like a fair price. According to RealestateBoston.com, the man who purchased the home was the owner of Chatham Woodworking in Chatham, Massachusetts. According to documents from the Exeter Historical Society, he disassembled the house and moved it to Chatham, MA, and rebuilt it in 1940. The six-bedroom, four-bath, 3,367 square foot home currently sits pretty in front of the Atlantic and is listed at $5,995,000. Did I mention it has a private beach?!

But wait there's more! The article states that the outdoor area is ideal for entertaining guests. Plenty of flat grassy areas for kiddos to play, plus many patios where one can sit back relax and enjoy the view. And what a view it is!

The article said the home has been in the same family for the past 70 years and they are sad to let it go. But we all know how the market is right now so I'm sure it will get snatched up faster than you can say "Oceanfront Property".
