This Town was Voted ‘Most Charming’ in New Hampshire by Reader’s Digest
Reader's Digest put out a list of the 'Most Charming Small Town in Every State,' and some won't be too surprised by which community came in at the top for New Hampshire.
Drum Roll, please....Meredith! As described by Reader's Digest: set alongside the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, Meredith is a small New England town in the state’s Lakes Region. Antiquers will love the tax-free shopping at its many antiques and collectibles stores while outdoor adventurers can get their fill of hiking and boating in summer or ice sailing and snowshoeing in winter. Don’t miss a trip on the 1849 Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad for a two-hour scenic journey, and try a bottle of Hermit Woods Winery’s Petit Blue, each bottle including an entire pound of wild blueberries.
I've been to Meredith several times and each time, I leave refreshed, relaxed and wanting to go back soon!
I think Reader's Digest definitely got it right naming Meredith the most charming small town in New Hampshire.
If you're curious about the other New England winners:
