Toyota Is Recalling Over A Million Cars Because Of Faulty Airbags
I feel like safety features are one of the big things most of us look at when buying a car. Each year the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety puts out a list of the safest cars on the road based on a specific criteria. This year, the Toyota Camry made that list.
But, according to WCVB Channel 5 in Boston, Toyota is recalling just over 1 million cars worldwide because of a problem with the air bags.
The recall covers about 17,000 Toyota Scion xA vehicles here in the United States produced from 2004 through 2006. The report says the airbags have potential to inflate without a crash, or fail to work if there is one.
Toyota says the dealers will replace the air bag control unit. If your car is one being recalled, the reports claims you'll be notified in December.
