Patrons of the Tuckaway Tavern in Raymond, New Hampshire, Miss this Iconic Dish
Hopefully no residents of Raymond will feel personally attacked by this statement, but the Tuckaway Tavern put Raymond New Hampshire on the map! No shade to Raymond, it's a lovely town. But if it weren't for award winning steak tips, I might not find myself venturing in that direction of 101. I certainly do because, as I said, award winning steak tips!
We just love to see good things happen to good people and that has certainly been the case for chef and restaurant owner Bobby Marcotte. From scoring Best of NH Awards year after year:
To a handful of visits from Guy Fieri:
to being named restauranteur of the year, each accolade is warranted and deserves to be celebrated!
When you think of Tuckaway Tavern, you think of MEAT! Tuckin' meat! Steak tips and burgers are truly the Tuckaway's claim to fame. And also, their macaroni salad is pretty bomb. I don't feel like enough people are talking about it.
Speaking of things people aren't talk about enough, Colton Cyr posted something recently on the New Hampshire Eats Facebook group that had bellies grumbling from Portsmouth to Manchester.
Colton was reminiscing on the days when the Tuckaway Tavern served spaghetti and meatballs. Just look at this gorgeous, generous, serving and the nice piece of garlic bread on the side just makes me want to dive into this dish face first.
People starting storming the comment section agreeing with Colton and his sentiments. There was talk of starting a petition to the get the spaghetti and meatballs back on the menu at the Tuckaway. I am not sure if that actually came to fruition but people are passionate about this cause. I will tell you that for free!
So Bobby Marcotte, if you are reading this. I know you are a busy guy but I am just being the voice of our people. Cozy season is upon us and we need the spaghetti and meatballs back on the menu. Thanks for your consideration.
Best,
a hungry spaghetti loving girl
