The U.S. Marshals Service in New Hampshire took a fugitive into custody on Thursday in Dover, according to deputy marshal Jeffrey White.

Darien James Young, 27, was arrested on multiple outstanding arrest warrants including an alleged bail violation out of Strafford County Superior Court on an original charge of alleged assault with a deadly weapon, per White.

Young was also wanted out of Rockingham County Superior Court for allegedly failing to appear on an indictment for three counts of assault by a prisoner, resisting arrest or detention and filing a false report, White said.

White said Young was last known to reside in Somersworth.

According to a press release, the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force on Thursday followed an SUV wherein investigators believed Young was aboard as a rear passenger. The SUV was stopped at the intersection of Dover Point Road and Spaulding Turnpike in Dover, per White.

Investigators approached the vehicle and allege Young was hiding in the rear of the vehicle and hiding under a pile of clothing and blankets. He was later removed from the vehicle and arrested, White said.

Shawn Olsten, who serves as general sales manager for Townsquare Media, which owns and operates Seacoast Current, was driving west on Dover Point Road around noon Thursday toward the Spaulding Turnpike in Dover and took pictures of the scene after his car was stopped by the activity.

Olsten snapped photos from inside his stopped vehicle that appeared to show two law enforcement officials emerging from unmarked trucks with police lights.

One photo shows an individual, wearing what looks like a bullet-proof vest, operating outside of a dark, unmarked truck with police lights. Another photo shows a separate individual also wearing a vest emerging from a white truck, also unmarked and fitted with police lights.

White confirmed these individuals were part of the U.S. Marshals' activity in the area on Thursday.
