Love Chili? Wally’s Chili Cook-Off is Around the Corner for Toy Bank
If you love chili, you will love this. The Hampton, New Hampshire, Firefighters hold an annual chili cook-off at Wally's to raise money for the Firefighters Toy Bank.
The Hampton Firefighters Toy Bank is a program that helps families during the Christmas season in the Hampton area. The holiday season is difficult for so many families, and the Hampton Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation (HFFCF) is there for the community.
Wally's Pub of Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, hosts the annual Chili Cook-off, and looks forward to helping the community.
The date is Tuesday, November 15, from 6pm until all of the chili is gone. It's a perfect night to eat out for a great cause. Make a "Chili" Tuesday, instead of a taco Tuesday. There will be live music, raffles, and giveaways, and all for only $15 for unlimited sampling.
Wally's Pub is at 144 Ashworth Avenue in Hampton, NH. Wally's is know for its special and charitable nights in support of the community's philanthropic causes.
If you or anyone you know would like to enter your chili in the chili cook-off, just email LXHLMS@yahoo.com. You'll need to cook up a gallon of chili for the contest.
According to Alex Holmes, VET/FF/NRP, who coordinates the chili cook-off, "We have a plethora of big name restaurants that have entered, including The Old Salt, The Tailgate Tavern, Pogo's, Santiago's, 12 Ocean Grille, Breakers by the Sea at the Ashworth Hotel, and Fire & Spice Bistro, to name a few."
Trophies will go to the best personal chili, best business chili, and best overall chili for the evening.
So, save the date, November 15, and plan to make or eat chili, or both, for the kids.
