Weird Al is Going on Tour and Will Be All Over New England in Spring 2022
Decades of Weird
Weird Al burst onto the scene in the late 70s and truly cemented himself into pop culture legend status back in the early 80s.
In 1981, Weird Al released Another One Rides the Bus EP with the title track a parody of the iconic "Another One Bites The Dust" by Queen.
After the success of the EP Weird Al's released his debut full-length album featuring "I Love Rocky Road" a parody of Joan Jett's " I Love Rock 'n' Roll".
Weird Al went on to consistently release albums through the 80s and 90s only slowing down slightly in the 00s but still delivering hits.
The Unfortunate Return
At 62 years of Age, Weird Al isn't slowing down as he prepares to head out on a massive 133 date tour. Back in 2018, he embarked on the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour, and for 2022 he's heading out on The Unfortunate Return of the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour.
If you've seen Weird Al live in past years, know that this tour will be completely different as Weird Al is touring smaller venues, and hoping for a more intimate concert experience. No props, screens, or distractions. Don't expect any of his iconic parodies either, this tour is all originals except for maybe a treat at the end of the set.
For this tour, Weird Al is teaming up with Emo Philips and will have a bunch of shows here in New England.
