Here are 6 Things You Need to Know About Shopping at Aldi in Newington, New Hampshire
I admit, I never have shopped at Aldi's. It just is not in my path of home to work, ya know? Recently, however, I was in Newington and needed groceries, so I gave it a try. I learned a few things that I thought you might want to know too.
If you want a carriage at Aldi's, you have to give up a quarter, but you get it back.
I will be honest, I didn't want to give up a quarter to get a carriage. I am so used to just grabbing it before I head into the store, ya know? But, I relented and did it. At first, I couldn't figure out how it worked because the quarter doesn't go anywhere. It just locks into place and you are able to release the carriage. When you put it back, you get it back. You'll get used to it. Believe me, if I could figure it out.... you can too.
There are no bags given out for free at Aldi's
If you want to carry all of the items that you've paid for in your arms as you walk back to your car, rock on. You can do that at Aldi, however, they offer SWEET colorful, sturdy, reuseable bags for .88 cents. I bought three and took my chances that would be enough.

Aldi carries brands that I have never heard of
My .25 cent carriage was filled with brand names I had never heard of, but the price that was attached to those things were worth the risk of trying them out. I'll let you know how they are. By the way, I did not get the Teddy Grahams at Aldi. They just made it into the picture.
Aldi sells more than groceries.
If you shop at a discount store like... Marden's in Maine, their slogan is, "I shoulda bought it when I saw it... at Marden's." Kinda the same idea at Aldi. They have signs that say something similar like, "buy it now before it's gone." I was eyeing a SWEET washable 5' x 7' rug, but I didn't end up pulling the trigger.
There was only one person that I could see working
Since Aldi is a discount grocer, it would make sense that they try to cut down on salary costs. There was only one guy in the Newington store that I could see at the check out. Maybe there were people in the back too?
Aldi gives you space to bag your own groceries
After you pay for your groceries, they have a big table area do you can bag your own groceries. The guy at the check out counter told me about it rather than me bending over and trying to bag from the floor.

I bought a lot of stuff at Aldi's and I spent what I thought was a bargain these days, $131-ish dollars. Not bad. I got things I haven't purchased at Hannaford or Market Basket in a long time.
Would I go back? Absolutely. But, you have to watch prices no matter if you shop at Aldi, Market Basket or Hannaford. Everything is expesive today.
