Congratulations to Robert Downey Jr for being named the "World's Highest Paid Actor" for the third consecutive year.

According to Forbes magazine Downey Jr took in 80 Million dollars last year thanks to his appearance in THE AVENGERS-AGE OF ULTRON and THE JUDGE.   Jackie Chan came in second place and Vin Diesel of  the FAST AND FURIOUS series of movies was in third spot.

Long before his success as IRON MAN, Robert Downey Jr. dealt with personal issues which he has publicly admitted to and which almost crushed his career after a promising start.

One movie he made durring this critical time in his life  IN DREAMS was filmed here in 1998 in New Hampshire and featured the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel in Newcastle. This was at a time when the Wentworth was in transition and had fallen on hard times.  As a matter of fact it was so run down it served as a sinister location for the plot of the movie. Downey played a serial killer who "haunts the dreams" of the heroine played by actress Annette Bening.

The movie is long forgotten, but thankfully both the Wentworth by the Sea and the career of  Robert Downey Jr. have enjoyed  a successful restoration.
