York Golf Club Director Allegedly Swipes $30,000 Handicapped Cart
He's facing a felony charge for allegedly stealing the “paramobile” golf cart for handicapped individuals.
According to Fosters Daily Democrat, the crime dates back to this spring. On April 22, a paramobile golf cart and transportation trailer were reported stolen, according to police. This special cart is designed for disabled golfers, and can be customized for use in other sports as well.
Earlier this week, Dustin Michael Hunter, who at the time of theft was the director of Cape Neddick Country Club, was arrested on the premises, the newspaper stated. He faces a felony count alleging theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, and according to Fosters Daily Democrat, Hunter was transported to the York County Jail and released on bail.
According to the report, police are also in search of Joshua Parenteau of Biddeford, Maine. Anyone with info is asked to call their local local police, or detective Mark Clifford at (207) 363-4444.
Getting to this point has been a collaboration. According to a press release, the York Police Department thanked Ogunquit and Biddeford police for assisting in the investigation.
