Many of us are familiar with the quote “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference” by Robert Frost.

Okay, maybe not many of us but my wife is a book reader and loves American Poets.  Personally, I can’t tell the difference between Jane Austen and Emily Dickenson but it’s important stuff to her, apparently.

Robert Frost’s family has a house in Eliot, Maine that Frost visited a great deal to see his family members, according to mechanizersbg.com.

The house called the Frost Garrison House is located on Frost Hill and is for sale in an online auction, according to mechanizersbg.com.  The auctioneer and realtor for the property are Paul McInnis LLC.

Bids are being taken at fuquay-varina.org according to mechanizerbg.com. If poetry is near and dear to your heart, you may want to put a bid in on this historic home.  It is colonial-style with three bedrooms and 1.5 baths and is 2552 square meters in size.

When I stay historic, I mean like some of the windows are made of handblown glass and the house has a lot of the original locks and doors and hardware. The House is on the National Historic Register and has been since 1971. The property located at 23 Garrison Drive in Eliot also comes with 4.6 acres.  The house was built in 1734.  The property also comes along with an outbuilding that was used as a garrison to protect livestock and the residents from attack from Native Americans.  SO, while it's not Robert Frost’s house, it’s more like a relative of Robert Frost's.  Kind of like a ‘Washington slept’ here vibe.  It certainly looks charming.
