You Can Fly In A World War II Plane This Weekend In Nashua, NH
I served in the United States Air Force for seven years. So as you might imagine, I love airplanes. If you are too...then this weekend, you can get an up close look at some of the most famous planes from World War II.
The AirPower History Tour will be at the Nashua Airport all this weekend. WMUR-TV reports three World War II will be on display. Including the World's Most Famous Flying B-29 Superfortress, FIFI.
For a small fee, you can actually get a look inside the plane. Or if you're really daring, you can take a ride in a T-6 Texan...the same type of plane US pilots were taught how to fly in.
Or maybe you'd prefer a C-45 Expeditor. This plane was used during World War II as a multi-engine trainer. It was also used for light cargo transport and general transportation duties, most often as VIP transport, according to the AirPower History Tour website.
The event starts each day this weekend at 9 a.m. with aircraft available for rides all day. The planes are on display at Nashua Boire Field, 93 Perimeter Road, Nashua, NH.
