Zach Bryan Was Born in Japan
Zach Bryan is technically Japanese, right? Or maybe military bases are different? He was born on April 2, 1996, in Japan, according to Wikipedia, while his parents were stationed in the U.S. Navy. His American home was in Oklahoma where he began to write songs at the age of 14.
Zach followed in his parents footsteps and enlisted in the Navy at age 17. He served for 8 years and wrote and recorded songs in his spare time. Zach posted his music on YouTube and Twitter and eventually, the world discovered his raw emotion and honesty.
Zach's debut album was released while he was still in the Navy, but his major label debut, American Heartbreak, was released in 2022.
If you don't hear something in Zach Bryan's message, we need to have a talk. His songs, in my opinion, don't fall into one category. They are raw emotion. The obvious comparison, and it's a good one, is Bob Dylan. Bob didn't give two hoots and Zach doesn't either. He writes these songs for him and it's a bonus that millions of other people love them too.
