Talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres made the holidays bright for a family in Milford, MA this Christmas.

Ellen sent one of the show's producers to Milford to hand out Christmas gifts to Fernanda Ferreira, her sister Marjourrie, and their mom Elizet.

According to the Boston Globe, Ellen inspired Fernanda and her family to give back to their community...despite not being wealthy themselves. She and her family has sponsored a child in Haiti for the past eight years. Once a week they buy someone breakfast at a local restaurant. And they regularly pick up the tab at Dunkin Donuts for random people.

The Boston Globe says Ellen gave the women a VIP trip for a taping of her talk show, and all 12 of the gifts she featured during her 12 Days of Giveaways. Which included an iPhone, a TV, and a six-day vacation.

Merry Christmas indeed!
