In case you missed it: I AM WITH CHILD! My husband Steven and I are expecting our first baby this November. To say we are excited is a major understatement.

It’s been a windy road with a few big bumps to get here. We went through one loss this past September and another in December, the second being more traumatic as I lost one of my tubes in the process. This announcement should be joyous (and it is!), and I was apprehensive to include this part, but this is our story and it’s important to share it.

If your journey to parenthood hasn’t been smooth, easy, or linear I SEE YOU. You are not alone. I am by no means an expert but I am open to sharing my experience. If you need someone to talk to, I’m here. I mean that.

I know I wouldn’t have survived my dark days without the love and support of my people. Thanks for checking in on me, making me laugh, and bringing me candy on those days when I couldn’t pry myself off the couch. You know who you are, and I love you with my whole heart.

Back to the little human: so far, kind of an introvert. I’m thinking they will be more down to hang out in early November. In the meantime, I’m trying to be the best house I can be.
Steven and I have been kicking it, just the two of us (plus our turtle, Schlomo) for the past 14 years. We’ve rooted each other on in our respective careers. One of us became a Master of Architecture, one of us figured out how to get paid to talk. We’ve moved approximately 42 times. We’ve traveled to some really cool places. It’s crazy to think after all of these years as a duo we are about to add a brand new bestie to our gang!
Little baby in my belly: We’re ready to pass on all of our worldly wisdom to you, like pickles are the most important food group. We can’t wait to introduce you to all the important cinematic treasures Adam Sandler has given us over the years. Except Hubie Halloween, that one was pretty bad. Oh, we’re going to have so much fun! We hope it’s not off-putting how obsessed we are with you already. We’ll be cool parents, we promise. Happy growing!
Answers to FAQs:
Are you finding out the gender? We are not! We are having an OG gender reveal, as in we will find out when the baby is born.
Has it been tempting to find out? Honestly, I thought I would be more tempted, but it has been surprisingly easy. I've heard from other moms and dads that if you choose to be surprised, that moment when you find out in the delivery room is unlike anything else. I think about that whenever I feel like I want to pressure our ultrasound technician to tell me the gender.

Are you having a baby shower? Jewish people are not big into baby showers because we are very superstitious people. Typically, celebrations are saved for after the baby has arrived and we know he/she is healthy. I know our friends and fam want to get the baby stuff (and we want that too!), so we might have a housewarming party before November and people can bring a gift for the baby if they'd like.
I do want to have a baby shower through WOKQ, and instead of bringing gifts for me, listeners can bring gifts that we will donate to a local charity that helps moms in need. I will keep you posted on that!
How are you feeling? I feel good! I am tired, but I'm not sure if I can attribute my sleepiness to my 4:30am alarm for the morning show, the fact that I'm growing a human, or maybe a little of both!
What are you craving the most? Frostys from Wendy's and any sour candy I can get my paws on: sour gummy bears, worms, sour patch kids, I want it all. Oh, and an Italian sub from Moe's, but I'm not allowed to have that.
Got any other questions? I am an open book! Feel free to send me a message on Instagram and I'd be happy to chat.
