House to vote on budget
It'll be a busy day for lawmakers in the House today. They're expected to vote on a bipartisan two-year budget and Republicans are set to nominate Paul Ryan as their new speaker. Democratic and Republican leaders in the House and Senate are urging lawmakers to back the budget, which would resolve fights over defense and domestic spending and federal borrowing until early 2017.

Laconia police still searching for suspect
Police are continuing to search for a suspect after reports that an armed man was threatening people in Laconia. The incident on Jewett Street prompted some roads to be closed, some school to be put under lockdown and an apartment building to be evacuated on Tuesday.Police say they believed the suspect had fled the area.
Police searched an apartment and said they found a shotgun with several rounds of ammunition.

Little League team receives $3,500 in gifts after vandalism
A New Hampshire team that came within a win of advancing to the Little League World Series has received thousands of dollars in donations after its clubhouse and concession stand were vandalized. Officials say a vandal broke windows, painted graffiti and sprayed a fire extinguisher in the Bedford Little League building late Saturday night, causing about $5,000 in damage. The team has since received about $3,500 to help with repairs after photos of the damage were posted on social media. The gifts came from local businesses as well as from the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Manchester Monarchs and former major league pitcher and Bedford native, Chris Carpenter.
