A WTNH report says Danone North America announced the YoCrunch factory in Naugatuck will shut down after occupying the building for more than 15 years.

The YoCrunch brand of yogurt is made at the Connecticut plant. Officials say 147 jobs will be eliminated as a result of the factory closure.

The YoCrunch yogurt will still be made, according to company officials. It will be produced at other Danone North America facilities. A spokesman for the company said it will help employees look for jobs within the company and elsewhere.

The Naugatuck, Connecticut plant is expected to close for good withing the first three months of 2019.
