(Durham, NH) - Heidi Asbjornsen of the UNH College of Life Sciences and Agriculture says conditions point toward vibrant colors when the leaves start to change.

Asbjornsen says the vibrant hues of red, gold and orange are best when we have a wet and mild spring, when there is sufficient rain in the summer and lots of sunny days and cool nights late in the season.

It sounds like mother nature had the recipe right for this falls foliage season.
