Adam Sandler’s Newest Movie, ‘Spaceman’, Trailer Drops: People Are Confused About It

New Hampshire's finest, Adam Sandler, has a new movie coming out, and it is confusing a LOT of people.

The movie trailer just dropped yesterday and it is titled Spaceman.

Below is the trailer, which does not give any context as to what the movie is about. Before we get to the trailer, here is a brief synopsis, according to a People article:

"Six months into a solitary research mission to the edge of the solar system, an astronaut, Jakub (Sandler), realizes that the marriage he left behind might not be waiting for him when he returns to Earth..."

"Desperate to fix things with his wife, Lenka (Carey Mulligan), he is helped by a mysterious creature from the beginning of time he finds hiding in the bowels of his ship..."

That creature, named Hanuš, is voiced by Paul Dano. He "works with Jakub to make sense of what went wrong before it is too late."

A serious role for Adam Sandler? Sign me up. I think the Sandman crushes serious roles when people least expect it. Take Uncut Gems or Hustle, for example. Serious roles that Adam Sandler perfected.

The movie is directed by Johan Renck and written by Colby Day.

“I really wanted to have a performance from him that had nothing to do with the Adam Sandler we all know,” Director, Renck told Netflix. “I don’t think people understand how [although] he may come across as funny and sweet and all that, he’s very intelligent, really smart, profound.”

Spaceman will be available on Netflix on March 1.

Spaceman is based on the 2017 book Spaceman of Bohemia, by Jaroslav Kalfař.
