After 45 Years At Londonderry High School, Band Director Andrew Soucy Plans to Retire This Year
In an interview with WMUR, Soucy said the choice to step down as band director was a decision he made with his family. He proudly joked that he is the "oldest person in the building" at Londonderry High School.
During his 45-year-long tenure, Soucy has brought the Londonderry Marching Lancer Band to some pretty important events. They performed at both of President Barack Obama's inaugurations, The St. Patricks Day Parade in NYC and the Tournament of Roses parade FIVE TIMES!
He will be dearly missed by staff, students and parents alike. Whoever they hire to take his place will have some big shoes to fill. Enjoy your retirement, Mr. Soucy! :)
