An Avocado Shortage is a Real Possibility

If you're a fan of avocados, you should prepare yourself for the possibility of a shortage of the green goddess of fruit.

And, if there is an avocado shortage, that means there is a shortage of guacamole. What are we supposed to dip our tortilla chips in, plain ol' salsa? I think not.

Experts are saying there may be a shortage of avocados and because of that, if you do find the odd-shaped fruit, you'll be paying double or even triple than just a year ago. It's also expected that those soaring prices may be around until after the Super Bowl, when the demand for guac is extremely high.
